What to expect when you logon to the site for the first time.

FIRST THING IS WHEN YOU START YOU ARE GOING TO BE ASKED TO ACCEPT SEVERAL UNSIGNED HUPERLAB SECURITY CERTIFICATES AND THE UNSIGNED ACTIVE-X DRIVERS FOR THE CAMS ! ! !   SOME PEOPLE MAY BE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS AND IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH IT, JUST LEAVE THE SITE, NO PROBLEM.  THIS SITE IS A SECURITY WEBCAM SERVER CONVERTED TO BE USED FOR WEBCAMS FOR PUBLIC VIEWING HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES.  WE HAVE USED THIS SYSTEM FOR MANY YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS.  IT WILL NOT ACCEPT WEB REQUESTS.  THE ONLY REQUEST IT WILL ACCEPT IS FOR THE CAM PAGE AT 8080.  ALL TWO WAY COMMUNICATION HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE WEB-PAGE, THERE IS NO TWO WAY RECORDING, PLAYBACK, CHAT OR SOUND ! !   ONLY STREAMING CAMS ON A LOW OR HIGH SPEED CONNECTION.  THE CAM SOFTWARE WAS DESIGNED BACK IN 2004 AND IS NO LONGER SERVICED BY THE MANUFACTURER, SO WE KNOW IT IS CLEAR OF ANY PROBLEMS.  WE ARE ADVISING YOU OF THIS SO YOU CAN MAKE A INFORMED DECISION ON VIEWING THIS SITE OR NOT.

When the webcam opens you will see the default four camera view for the login screen, if you do not, start the I.E. Plugin and reload the page. To login to the cams click on the flashing gold button in the lower right of the screen. If this in the first time, then you may be asked to approve or allow the installation of the security certificates and active-x drivers for the came. In the past, I have only had to do this the first time and then never again, but some have advised me that in the later browsers they have been asking for this action again. After logging in you can change to the camera view that you would like to see using the buttons on the bottom or right of the screen. Double clicking on a camera will expand it in the window, or use the corresponding buttonson the page to adjust the number of cams displayed at any one time. The cams are live streaming at 30fps, so a fast connection is desired for viewing.

After the web-page loads you will see a gold flashing button.  Click on the flashing button on the right lower corner of the web-page to start the logon display.

A logon box will appear, type in the word "Guest" for the login using a capital G, then enter the word "guest" for the password in all small letters without the quotes then set your connection speed and click OK. This should enable you to view the first four to six cameras used to view the weather.

This site does not require you to download any software program or give any information to view it, but you have to allow the certificates and active-x drivers.

The first time you use the site you will be asked if you wish to download the Active-X Plugin Cab files so your browser will display the cameras.  This software is from HuperLab, a security company and it is not digitally signed by them so you may see a warning about installing it, but we have been using it for years without any problems.  You will need to accept the Huper Laboratories Site Certificates for the Security Server, if the request appears on some viewers when you open the site.

You may also need to install the unsigned Active-X plugin for your browser, if it is not already installed on your system previously. You will only have to add the plugin once and then it will just run as normal.  The Active-X Plugin can be disabled thru your browser settings for plugins if you are concerned about running it when you are not viewing the cams.

It is recommended you view this site with Internet Explorer Version 7.0 or later, other browsers do not work with the Active-X drivers and security system.  We now have found a Firefox and Chrome Plugin that adds a I.E. Tab to Firefox and Chrome browsers, which seems to be working at this time with the cams.

Sorry, but at this time the webcams will not work with Netscape to view the Active-X  driven cameras.  I have no way to test these and other browsers on the market.

A high speed internet connection is also recommended for viewing this site, because it is real time live streaming video cameras.

The cameras are set for 30 frames per second, but the viewing rate will depend on your internet connection speed and the number of people viewing the system at the time. WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM ! ! !
